So Glad its the Weekend!!!

Its been a crazy, crazy week at work - our fiscal year end - so I am so glad that its the weekend!!  With that and the fact that its just kind of a drizzly dreary day in Central Wisconsin, I'm proclaiming this a hibernation day.  I put on a fresh pair of jammies and I'm working on a project order while getting some laundry and house cleaning done.  My hubby goes to work this afternoon so I should be able to focus all my time on my order then.

This week a friend of mine had a birthday, which is always a treat because a group of us get together and go out for lunch, catch up on our lives and just have some much needed laughs.

This is the card I made for the birthday.   I love this image - so sweet, and as you can see I'm still playing with my copic markers.

Later I'll post some photos of the order that I'm working on.   Soooooo cute.   I love the them.

My Quiet Day

It was a super quiet day at our house.   Our son went back to college after his week of spring break - I miss him already - and my husband is on the night shift this week, so he was sleeping today.  Normally I like the down time but today just seemed really quiet here.  I did get a chance to make some cards though, so that brightened my day.

I made this card for our nephew who is turning six. He loves critters of all kind so I thought with Easter coming this would make a perfect card for him. I've really been having fun with my Copic markers lately.  I also pulled out some of my favorite nesties.

Easter Place Cards/ Party Favors

I spotted these cute little treat favors on SCS this morning and just knew I had to make some.   They are so cute!!  I have been hoping to make a treat that can double as a place card - this is exactly what I had envisioned.  I have been having coloring with my copic markers the last few days, so this little project fit right in.  I had so much fun making these and now the ideas are just running through my head - baby shower favors, wedding favors, birthday party favors.  These would work for basically any occasion from baby to adult.

Here is my version ~

Aren't they fun???  2 Hershey Nuggets fit in each of these.  I don't have any Nuggets on hand, but I was so excited how these turned out, that I decide to post them as is and I will add the nuggets later.  I made a set of 8 and plan on posting them in my Etsy shop as soon as the Nuggets are securely in place.

I embossed just the front panel on these to give them some texture, then I really popped the banner to give it a wave and make it look like its flowing.

Some day I will figure out how to add a link to my Etsy shop on my side bar - on my list of things to do.

The weather is absolutely goreous here in Central WI ~ 50+ degrees on March 10th is pretty amazing, so it was just a super day, I got chores done around the house but still got a really good walk in with my DH and still had time to play.   You can't beat that.  A litte work, a little play - that's what life is all about.

Hope you had as great a day as I did.

Thank you cards

Recently, I had a need for some thank you cards.  Since I was making several, I didn't want them to be too complicated - something I could mass produce.  This is what I came up with -simple, not many layers but I tried to give it some depth by using paper with a subtle print.
This stamp is from Stampin' Up and of course I had to use my nesties.  I always use my nesties.  :)
