I think I giggled out loud when I saw this weeks challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's.   Borders!  Borders!!!  Really!!! Whoo  Hooooo!  Love it!!   This is like a free pass to go over the top with it.  I made this card just a little bit larger than standard, I went 5 X 7, just to be able to squeeze a few more borders in.

Stamps:  Sassy Cheryl digital image

Meljen's Challenge #119 - ATC cards

I came home from work early today with a severe back ache.   Ugh!!!  I don't get that often, but when I do, I am always amazed by how debilitating that is.  Today I couldn't even function.

Since there wasn't much I could do, I did putter around a little bit making some cards.  It was a very slow process since every task is a challenge.

This project is for the challenge over at Meljen's Design - Challenge # 119 - ATC's.  If you know me at all, you know I love to use up scraps of paper.  I save every little piece.   This is the perfect project for that. I colored this cute Meljen heart image last week when we were on vacation.  It made the perfect focal point on my ATC.   The rest just came together.

Thanks much for looking

Meljen Challenge 117 - Red or Blue

I have been loving the challenge they have been having over at Meljen Design.  So fun!   I have to make a confession though - last week I totally cheated.  I forgot I needed to use a Meljen image.  Ooops!!!   I'm not even sure how that happened.  I try to always use the appropriate image, even if a company doesn't require it, but last week I just totally spaced it out.

Well I behaved this week and used an adorable Meljen image.

I have totally been on a 'red' kick lately so this weeks challenge - red or blue is perfect for me.  This adorable teddy hold an arm load of flowers make a card so easy to create.  I needed it to be easy because we are camping again and I have a limited number of supplies with me.  Super cute images, my copic, and packs of paper.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Digital image from Meljen design.
Paper: Printed paper is from the My Mind’s Eye 6 x 6 paper pad – Darling Dear.  Standard card stock – red, white
Tools and accessories:  Copic markers, embossing folder – Sizzix, Spellbinders die, foam tape.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge 141 - Straight from the Heart

One more quick project today.  I've had some time to play today since my DH is working this morning.  This is my entry in the Mo's Digital Pencil - Straight from the Heart Challenge 141.   This cute gift tag will make the perfect accent to a hostess gift.  I love this adorable Mo digi

Gotta go - DH will be home soon :)

Meljen's Challenge #116 - Bookmarks

I love to read and I love making 3-D papercrafts -something different.  We don't always have to make cards or scrapbook pages.  Its good to try something different - takes us out of our box a little bit.  This weeks challenge over at Meljen's was right up my alley - bookmarks.  There is an excellent tutorial for these simple corner bookmarks on SCS.  We made these at my card club a while back (thanks Barb for teaching that) and this was a great opportunity to try it again with my own color combos and images.

This verse is from a new set of Skipping Stones Design stamps - Explorer and the image of the stack of books is just something I scavanged off of Google Images.  Sorry, wish I could give credit to whomever designed it.

 From the back

Supplies
Stamps:  Verse from the Skipping Stones Design - Explorer set.  Image downloaded from the internet
Ink:  Momento - tuxedo black for the verse and desert sand for the distressing
Paper:  Scraps I've had around - I love using up scraps
Tools & Accessories:  Martha Stewart border punch, Fiskars Circle squeeze punch and the
SU scalloped circle punch. Scor-pal - scor buddy.  copic markers
